How is serum produced ?

Fetal bovine whole blood is aseptically collected from the dead fetus. The coagulation is followed by centrifugation to separate the supernatant – serum – from the cloth. Raw serum is frozen to be thawed prior to final processing.

Raw fetal bovine serum is filter sterilised, pooled, bottled and frozen.
